GOODBYE TO THE EXPERIENCE

In August some members traveled to Las Vegas to say goodbye to Star Trek: The Experience. Their lease at the Las Vegas Hilton was not renewed this year, and so, after over 10 years at that location, they are tearing everything down and vacating the Hilton by the end of 2008.

We were very sadden to learn about the closing of The Experience and it was with a heavy heart that we visited the "station" one last time. We ate at Quarks, shared a Warp Core Breach, shopped on the Promenade, toured the rides and the timeline museum.

September 1st will be the last day of operation. All the staff members will be "called-off" the "station" during a final closing ceremony and the lights will be turned off for good.
